SharePoint Farm Protection When Moving WFE to a New Server

We recently moved the Web Front End of our SharePoint farm from one physical server to another. Our DPM server is still seeing the Farm on the old WFE server, though. What do I need to do in order to move the Farm to the new WFE server, so DPM can protect it there? (We want to shut down the old WFE.)

I found this article: https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/hh758034(v=sc.12).aspx and performed the steps to "Configure the SharePoint VSS Writer service." But that didn't move the Farm, at least not as far as DPM is concerned.
